Curaderm-BEC5 cream (20ml).

Skin Cancer is no stranger to those who live in the southern part of the United States, and especially retirement areas, where the large percentage of people are over the age of 65. Doctors practicing dermatology in these areas are overwhelmed with a constant flow of patients. Patients could wait for weeks to get an appointment with the doctor and within a 5 to 10 minute visit, a skin lesion can often be jacked up in price.

This same scenario occurred in Australia back in 1987. Dr. Bill Cham, a medical researcher and biochemist from Queensland, Australia. A veterinarian in the early 1980’s told Dr. Cham that the juice from the Kangaroo Apple could stop the growth of cancer around the eyes of cattle.

Curious, Dr. Cham began to experiment with various extracts from the Kangaroo Apple growing in his yard. Better known as Solanum sodomaeum, along with numerous other plants and fruits from the solanum species contain steroidal alkaloid glycosides or glycoalkaloids.

As early as 1825, it was reported that extracts from the plant species, Solanum, could be effective in the treatment of cancer.2 In the early 1800’s, like today, natural plant remedies were not very glamorous or attractive to those who did research funding. Consequently, research on the potential of this derivative was not pursued aggressively.

For five years, Dr. Cham tested and retested his glycoalkaloid-containing cream on both laboratory and test animals. He discovered that a glycoalkaloid treatment he had developed was able to kill skin cancer cells in the laboratory. He then experimented to find a vehicle that would act as a messenger to carry this glycaolkaloid into the deeper layer of the skin where the cancer cells live and reproduce.

Dr. Cham discovered a way to alter the base by using a mucopolysaccharide (a polysaccharide that formed a chemical bond with water to produce lubricating fluids). Thus, Curaderm was created.

Curaderm is 99.8% natural with a tiny amount of preservative added. The active cancer destroying agent is solasodine glycosides, 0.005%. Solasodine is derived from the "Kangaroo Apple" and is in the same family as eggplant. Another well known ingredient is melaleuca oil, 0.1%, which is an anti-microbial from "tea tree". Linoleic acid, 0.05%, a polyunsaturated fat found in canola oil is present as well. Urea, 5% is to increase the amount of water in the skin. As the cancer cells die, they are encouraged to slough off by the action of salicylic acid at 10%.

Dr, Cham has conducted human studies involving keratoses, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinomas and other skin lesions. All studies showed a regression of 100% of the skin lesions. Specifically, a Curaderm study was conducted and referenced in the (Cancer Lts 9159:183-192.) Dr. Cham patented the process for producing his cream and continued his research for five years before he released the results. Many of his patients have been cancer-free for 10 years or more.

Unfortunately, no formal human studies have been conducted, meaning double-blind controlled studies funded by a large organization. And even though Curaderm was developed over 15 years ago, most people have never heard of it. Of course, there are many people who do NOT want consumers to know about it.

As an example, Dr. Cham approached Australia’s equivalent of our FDA, to gain permission to market Curaderm. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved with one criteria that it could be sold over the counter for the use of sunspots and keratoses. It could NOT be sold as a therapeutic cancer treatment.

In a short period of time, so much of the cream was sold and used for cancer treatment, that the TGA reclassified it as a prescription item. Of course, you can imagine, for financial reasons, dermatologists and plastic surgeons in Australia do not recommend this cream.

Dr. Cham is a real gift to all consumers. He may be considered a threat to his peers, the pharmaceutical industry and other practitioners, however, he has dedicated a lifetime of work for the benefit of the consumer.
